Echo Boomers Taking on Record Levels of Student Loan Debt.  Student loans are an “unforgiveable” debt and young Americans will be saddled with these loans while saving for their first home.  As a result, we predict the Echo Boomers will be renting longer than any previous generation.

Multifamily Demand Continues to Outpace Production.
Tighter lending conditions have slowed the rate of new multifamily construction. With demand continuing to outpace supply, vacancy will remain low and rents will continue to increase.

Baby Boomers Need to Sell Their Homes, but Who Will Buy? Baby Boomers looking to sell their current home as part of their retirement strategy face an uphill battle as younger generations can’t afford or don’t want to buy a home.
