March is Now Upon Us…

For many, thoughts of "March Madness" abound and discussions turn towards who will be this year's surprise "Cinderella Story" in the NCAA tournament.  

I have always loved the Cinderella Story–the David vs. Goliath string of victories almost too inspirational and motivational to believe. It's a microcosm of the American Dream where anyone can win and succeed, regardless of the odds.  

Sadly, so many people chalk this up to a combination of immense luck, incredible last minute shots, and a series of "bad games" by favored teams.

I prefer to side with John Maxwell's philosophy and view winning as a culmination of both hard work and a level of desire and tenacity that refuses to accept anything but the best.

To that end, I ask you — what do you desire? And, more importantly, what are you doing about it?

As we turn our thoughts towards springtime, we are confident and excited.  The much-awaited economic upturn is starting and it will bring tremendous opportunities to multifamily apartment investors.

The Importance of Financial Intelligence

This week I traveled to beautiful Lake Tahoe to speak to a group of real estate students about the importance of due diligence in the real estate investing process. We had a great group of students from all over–New York, Hawaii, Alaska, California, Canada and even Australia.

They learned how to identify a property, research its surrounding area, and determine through our proven step-by-step procedure whether it is a solid, potentially wealth-earning investment. Based on the feedback and comments, the students were very pleased with the information.

I feel there is a real need — not only for the students, but for investors too — to learn financial intelligence in real estate investing, whether for Multi-family Apartment Buildings or Single Family Homes.
